Product Review : Drop ENTR Mechanical Keyboard & DSA Astrolokeys
Drop ENTR Mechanical Keyboard
This ENTR mechanical keyboard is quite sturdy, it is surprisingly heavy and I like it that way. It doesn’t feel cheap when you hold it and use it. Drop ENTR keyboard is made of metal and strongly built for heavy use. Since I own multiple blogs that focused mainly on typing I can tell that this is the best keyboard for content creators. I paired it with my 15-inch Macbook Pro and so far I’m not experiencing any issues.
One thing I noticed when using this keyboard is how different it sounds. The tacky noise is minimized compared to my MacBook pro’s butterfly keyboard. The loud noise of a typical mechanical keyboard is reduced. This keyboard comes with Halo True switches which provide smooth and tactile action. The Halo True switches have a light preload to reduce jarring impact and a heavy spring to discourage bottoming out. It has a tactile point of 0.5mm, an actuation force of 54g, actuation point of 1.9mm, and a total travel distance of 4.00mm. This means having fast feedback when clicked, very comfortable, and fun to use when typing. If you are a touch typist like me I totally recommend the Halo True switches.
The ENTR keyboard has only white backlit color. If you are into keyboard lighting/settings and customization your only choice of customizing it is by replacing the keycaps. There is no configuration software included.
The Best Part, My Favorite key set! DSA Astrolokeys Keycap Set!
Since the keyboard has only white backlit color and no RGB lights or software included I customized my Mechanical keyboard my favorite keyset. The DSA Astrolokeys by @Sailorhg and @Cassiddoo.
DSA Astrolokeys Keycap Review
I love how cute and tiny the DSA keycaps are. The Astrolokeys keyset is very short and uniform in height. I love how it is well-designed and the colors used are carefully planned. That grainy texture above the keycaps is so beautiful it makes it very unique and it gives out personality. My favorite is that they replaced the F1-F12 keys with the 12 zodiac sign symbols and I think it’s amazing!
The Astrolokeys base kit that I have contains 104-key kit covers for TKL and full-size keyboards. Just looking at my astrology-themed setup already brings joy into my mystical-loving heart. The colors used are pastel purple, pastel yellow, pastel pink, and white. The grainy texture has a little shimmer which perfectly fits the Silver-White Drop ENTR Mechanical keyboard. There are more astrological symbols included in this base kit it has two constellations as shift keys and Moon, stars, and especially my favorite Saturn! There are more planets symbols and other designs in the DSA Astrolokeys Ergodox kit.
How much is DSA astrolokeys keycap set?
The price of this artisan keyset is $95.00. I received the DSA Astrolokeys Keyset without any missing keys! I recommend ordering directly from Drop’s online e-commerce store. The keycaps are well-packed in a bag. The delivery of my Drop ENTR Mechanical keyboard & DSA Astrolokeys from the USA to the Philippines only took 5 days!
